Scootin' To The Next Level
YES-That’s Correct.  He IS pointing toward Minneapolis.  The Perham Lions have a crazy guy in their Club who has this Dream. That he can ride a   2-wheel scooter from Moorhead all the way to the Twin Cities so that a young lady can have her Dream Come True—taking her family to Paris, France.  Don’t you think we should MAKE THIS HAPPEN ?  It can with your help.  We can make this Dream a Reality !!!  Please consider making a donation toward this great cause.


THE NUTS AND THE BOLTS OF THIS PROJECT —— Over 230 miles

Lion Mark Schmidt will be leaving Moorhead at the end of April 2010.  Pretty much riding Hwy 10 the whole way until we get to the Twin Cities suburbs.  Then, arriving at the Annual Make-A-Wish Ball Saturday night, he will present the sum total of our donations to the Director of Make-A-Wish of Minnesota.  We expect that this will take 4-6 days-rain or shine, snow, sleet or hail.  We will keep going.  We will be contacting media for coverage along the route. We hope to be staying with local Lions on our trip rather than stay at a hotel to keep our costs down.  At the end of each day, we hope to have dinner with as many Lions as we can.  Our goal is not only to raise money for a great cause, but to raise awareness of Lionism all along the route and to meet as many of our fellow Lions as we can.  Please help us make this Wish come true.  If you have any suggestions, ideas or other places we can tap for possible donations, let us know.  Thank you in advance from Mark, the Perham Lions, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota and Taylor from New Hope-our Wish Child.  See the link on Taylor and her wish.  If this does not tug on your heart strings (and your donations) - well, we know it will.  Thank you.

Consider a generous donation to this project OR do as the Ottertail Lions are doing.  They are dedicating a project with the proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Foundation.  They do meat raffles as fund raisers.  So, one of their meat raffles will have ALL the proceeds earmarked for this project.  We think this is great way to fund this project.   We will leave it up to you how you want to get us the money, we just hope you will donate to Make-A-Wish. 

Please donate BY March 31, 2010—you will have plenty of time if you want to schedule a fund raiser instead of just donating money.  Have some fun with it.  Be creative.  We know you can.
